Owyhee County State Inmate Searches

Owyhee County Inmate Mail and Funds
Inmate mail is limited. Written letters and standard photographs are allowed, but all mail is scanned and sent to a video kiosk for the inmate to view, then placed in the inmate's property. Polaroid photos, stamps, envelopes, and forwarded items are not allowed. Mail or publications with sexual content, nudity, gang-related writing, harassment, intimidation, unlawful plans, rule violations, or letters from other incarcerated people without prior jail approval may be refused, confiscated, placed in property, or returned.
Money and communication accounts are split by service. Inmate phone deposits use CTEL or InmateSales, with support at 877-998-5678. Inmates may rent a text or communication device after completing a contract, and family or friends fund it after assignment. Inmate money can be deposited at the Sheriff's Office kiosk with cash or Visa/debit card. Money orders may be brought in or mailed. Checks are not accepted, and the county does not recommend mailing cash. Commissary accounts use JAILATM.
Books must be new and shipped directly from a retailer such as Walmart, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble. The jail also allows prescribed medications, reading or prescription glasses, money orders, attorney legal papers, and approved religious items to be brought for inmates.
Owyhee County Booking Records
The roster is not the only possible jail record. The Owyhee County Sheriff's Office public records request form is the route for disclosable sheriff records such as police reports, accident reports, photographs, and dispatch tapes. Booking details not shown on the roster should be requested from the sheriff if they are public and not exempt.
